What's Good About Our Old System?

By old system, I mean the system that the Republicans and the Corporations are try to do away with. In my opinion, unions have had a lot to do with people making a decent wage, not just union members. Union employees making a decent wage has helped elevate the wages of others in competition. Grocery employees, factory employees, etc. that are non-union make a better wage and receive benefits because those of union companies have done so. So, previously to compete and get employees, they needed to offer more wages. I mean, look at wages in other countries of factory employees - $.50 a day. I believe corporation execs and the billionaires would be happy if Americans made $8. an hour and no benefits. American middle and poverty-level people deserve more than that. Have you heard the increase in the money the top 2% makes over all the others in American? Incredible. And the more the rich have access to all the money, the more power they have. But I guess we have to believe there is power in numbers. Because with the middle-class and the poor, we do have more numbers. We can speak up, refuse to work for poverty wages, not play the game. In Wisconsin, Scott Walker's plan has not worked and the people are speaking up, voting, signing petitions, and recalling senators.
