| Power to the People |
to the people is a phrase that seems relevant at this time. Power to those of us in the 99%. The people who really have to work. Today I listened to Norman Goldman on progressive talk radio. Sometimes listening to this news makes me almost nauseous because of how unfair things are in the world. They are so out of balance, with the wealthy winning, not being affected by the job market or the housing crisis, while the majority of us with children and jobs, are being hit so hard. He was talking about Mitt Romney and how he was getting paid millions yearly by Bain Financial, which took down companies, etc. And he is paying 15% tax rate on these millions, but he believes it is justified. The story of Warren Buffett and his paying a lower rate than his secretary who was paying 24%. And those of us with less money do not get to make any decisions. That's part of the nauseous feeling. But look at Wisconsin and Ohio. They have found a way to gain some power, but major damage has been done. Have you heard about the Michigan governor who is allowed to take over towns and replace mayors and management - so where do we live. And what about the right wing that believes in little government, DUH.
So, I will continue writing, voting, donating, working to help the working America. We need our Power Back. Power Back to the People!!!
